Trochus stellatus
Trochus stellatus, common name the stellate trochus, is a species of sea snail, a marine gastropod mollusk in the family Trochidae, the top snails.[1]

Description
The size of this large, heavy, top-shaped shell varies between 18 mm and 40 mm. The shell has wrinkled plaits and concatenated dots. The sutures of the upper whorls are spinous and radiated.[2]
Distribution
This marine species occurs off India, Sri Lanka, the Philippines, Japan, Oceania, New Caledonia, and Australia (the Northern Territory, Queensland and Western Australia).
