Distribution

This species was described from Ryukyu, Japan. It is widespread in the Indo-Pacific region with records from the African coast (Tanzania, Kenya) through the Maldives, Indonesia and Western Australia to Fiji.[3]

Description

This goniodorid nudibranch is translucent white, with a pattern of large dark brown or black spots with smooth edges on the body. The gills, papillae, oral tentacles and rhinophores are dark brown or black.[3]

Ecology

Trapania naeva probably feeds on Entoprocta which often grow on sponges and other living substrata.

gollark: I would of course need to come up with some suitably cryptic name for it to match all my other dragons.
gollark: I have that 30G Aeon (people here probably saw it before) which I could use...
gollark: That would be funny.
gollark: And xenowyrms and aeons.
gollark: On the other hand, I'd want to *use* the magic money tree it provides, so probably nebulae and coppers.
