ToHeavenURide
ToHeavenURide is an album by Michelle Shocked. This album was recorded live at the Telluride Bluegrass Festival and features original songs and a selection of covers. It was released in 2007 by Shocked's own label, Mighty Sound. The title is a take on "To Hell You Ride" the nickname for the Telluride festival. Since it is a gospel album, she and the band thought Heaven was better than Hell as a title.[1] The album features covers including a tribute to Sister Rosetta Tharpe and The Band's The Weight as well as Shocked's own Quality of Mercy and Good News.
