Tiruvarur Vaidyanathan
Tiruvarur Vaidyanathan (திருவாரூர் வைத்தியநாதன்) is a mridangam artist born 11 May 1963 in Tiruvarur, India to a family of mridangam artists.

He is well regarded worldwide and has received numerous awards and has been to over 20 countries to play in concerts including Sri Lanka, UAE, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Singapore, Malaysia, UK, US and India.
Sri Vaidyanathan is a mridangam vidwan and established himself with a unique identity in the field of South Indian Carnatic classical music. As an amateur, he was under the tutelage of his grandfather, Tiruvarur Sri Kunju Iyer and his uncle Tiruvarur Sri Nagarajan. Unceasing musical ambience, traditional paadanthram, meticulous training, disciplined practice and the never-ending urge to excel all perfectly set up the ascent of Sri Vaidyanathan on to the pedestals of glory. As a student with immense potential and great appetite for knowledge, he had the privilege of getting advanced training under legendary mridangam maestro Guru Sri Kaaraikudi Mani.
Across generations, he has embellished the concerts of many stalwarts and vidwans including Dr.M.Balamurali Krishna, Maharajapuram Santhanam, K.V.Narayanaswamy, D.K.Pattamal, M.L.Vasantha Kumari, T.N.Krishnan, U.Srinivas,T.V.Sankara Narayanan, K.J.Yesudas, Ravikiran, Sudha Raghunathan, Aruna Sairam and host of other musicians. His priority to strive for the team success more than showcasing his individual skill earned him rave testimonies from the musicians he has played for and helped him being their first choice for decades together. An exalted blends of his traditional bani and own creativity set up the perfect launch pad for the evolution of a style of his own.
