History
Ramesh and Kumar Taurani at the success party of Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya
Tips Industries was established in 1975 as a small shop in the Lamington Road market. The Taurani brothers traded in LPs (long-playing phonograph records) for three of the biggest companies in India – HMV (now Saregama), Music India (now Universal Music Group), and CBS (now Sony Music). In 1990, Tips set up its first manufacturing facility at Palghar, Thane.[2]
