Tina Desai
Tina Desai (born February 24, 1987) is an Indian actress and model. She debuted with the 2011 thriller Yeh Faasley, and went on to star in the action comedy Sahi Dhandhe Galat Bande, before making her foreign debut in 2012 in the comedy-drama The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel.[1][2] She is also known for her main role in the Netflix series Sense8.

Early life
Desai was born in Bangalore to a Gujarati father and a Telugu mother. She is a graduate in Business Management with a specialization in finance from the National Institute of Management.[1] She is fluent in five languages—Gujarati, Telugu, Kannada, English and Hindi.
Career
Desai first came into the limelight when she participated in the reality show contest Get Gorgeous. Although she did not win the contest, she was offered a contract with Elite Model India Management, which sponsors the reality show, before the eventual winner. She has been modeling since 2007 and has featured in over 100 commercials.
She made her acting debut in 2011 in Yeh Faasley. She later appeared in the film The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel.[3] In 2015, Desai had major roles in two high-profile English language projects, The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel,[4] a sequel to the 2012 hit[5] and the Netflix drama Sense8 by The Wachowskis and J. Michael Straczynski in which she plays Kala Dandekar.
She posed for the 2012 Kingfisher Swimsuit Calendar[6] and starred in the Bollywood action thriller film Table No. 21 opposite Rajeev Khandelwal. She appeared in the romantic song "Yeh Kahan Mil Gaye Hum" with singer KK.
In 2016, she voiced the character of Ashima in the Thomas & Friends film The Great Race, and 2 years later in 2018, Desai Voiced Ashima in some episodes of seasons 22 & 23 of Thomas and friends. In April 2018, Tina played the role of Jenny in a short film titled 'Good luck' for Star Plus.
Tina will appear in a new Amazon Prime Video series titled 'Mumbai diaries - 26/11' which is set to release in 2020. Desai will also appear in Bob Biswas[7] movie directed by Diya Annapurna Ghosh.
