Timothy Muris

Timothy J. Muris (born November 18, 1949 in Massillon, Ohio) is an American lawyer and academic who served as Chairman of the Federal Trade Commission from 2001 to 2004. He studied law at UCLA and became a lawyer in the field of antitrust law. He worked at the FTC during the 1980s, then became a professor of law at George Mason University's Antonin Scalia Law School.
