Tim Kirby (Russian radio host)

Tim Kirby (Тим Керби, full name - Timothy Dennis) is an American-expatriate radio host in Moscow, Russia. In 2006, Kirby migrated from the USA to Russia. He is best known for the program Alien on the radio station "Mayak" (Радио Маяк).[1]

Biography

Kirby was born on October 19, 1981, in Cleveland, Ohio.

In 2003, he graduated from the Pittsburgh Institute of Arts, Faculty of Graphic Design with a bachelors degree.

From 2004 to 2006, he was a volunteer at the Peace Corps in Kazakhstan.[1]

In late 2006, moved to work in Moscow as a computer games designer, then began to create podcasts and post them on the Internet.[1][2]

In 2011, Kirby became the leader on Radio Mayak with the weekly show Alien. He also has a television show on the Russia Today TV channel called Kirby's War of Words.[3][1]

In 2012, Alien was nominated and won the Radiomania Award for The Best Political Program.[1]

Since 2012, on the educational Internet portal "Cognitive TV", Kirby hosts videos where he talks about life in the United States and the political situation in America.

Since 2017, he hosted We decide together and Double agent at Tsargrad TV.

On November 29, 2018, Kirby received Russian citizenship.

Personal life

Kirby is married to Inge Morozova, a native of Kirov. They have two children.
