Taken to Hartlepool United on trial after the Pools 2000/01 Norway camp,[3] Sperrevik impressed coach Chris Turner,[4] who eventually presented him with a two-year contract[5] despite being unfit and slightly corpulent upon arrival.[2] Debuting at Exeter City on the 26th of August,[6] the Norwegian missed Hartlepool's November trip to Scunthorpe United through suspension,[7] posting 14 appearances total before returning to Fana on loan.[8] However, he did not see out the remainder of his contract so that he could stay in Norway.[9]

Asked about the standard of English football, Sperrevik replied that it was more faster and physical.[2]

gollark: I actually only have six or so *running*, but I have... 5600 now, maybe? spares.
gollark: I added a fourth turtle and should be able to add the equivalent of three of them by using one with a laser to shoot many blocks at once.
gollark: <@!345018122924982276> Because furnaces are useful. You can smelt things with them and whatnot.
gollark: I just tripled furnace production.
gollark: I've made this automatic furnace machine, and am producing one furnace per 5-ish seconds, and have ~5500 stored.
