History

Tiaro's yard during construction, circa. 1887

The station was built in 1877, two years before the line from Gympie to Maryborough was completed. It consisted of a station building and a platform, and two sidings running parallel to the main North Coast line.[2][3] After the station closed, the building was moved to Mayne Street and restored as a tourist information centre. Some of the siding platforms still exist, however the station platform has been removed.

gollark: Also, "status quo is god", as TVTropes would put it.
gollark: Because the writers aren't creative enough to think "hmm yes how do I actually use this WORLD-BREAKING TECHNOLOGY".
gollark: You would expect the replicator to be able to trivially copy humans, given the teleporters' apparent explanation.
gollark: How weird.
gollark: How odd. You'd expect them to have direct mass→energy conversion or something ridiculous like that.
