Thomas Meaney
Thomas Meaney (born 11 August 1931) is a former Irish Fianna Fáil politician and farmer. His father Con Meaney was also a Fianna Fáil Teachta Dála (TD). When his father retired at the 1965 general election, Thomas Meaney succeeded him as a Fianna Fáil Teachta Dála (TD) for the Cork Mid constituency.[1] He was re-elected at every subsequent general election until his retirement from politics at the November 1982 general election.[2] He served as a Minister of State at the Department of Industry, Commerce and Energy from 1980–81.
