Thijs van Hofweegen

Thijs van Hofweegen (born 30 November 1996) is a Dutch Paralympic swimmer with cerebral palsy.

Career

He represented the Netherlands at the 2016 Summer Paralympics held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and he won the silver medal in the men's 400 metre freestyle S6 event.[1][2]

At the 2016 IPC Swimming European Championships he won the silver medal in the men's 100m freestyle S6 event.[3] He also won the bronze medals in the men's 400m freestyle S6 event and in the 100m backstroke S6 event.

At the 2018 World Para Swimming European Championships he won three gold medals: in the men's 50 metres freestyle S6 event, in the men's 100 metres freestyle S6 event, in the men's 400 metres freestyle S6 event. He also won the bronze medal in the 4 x 100 metres medley relay event.

gollark: Broadly speaking, to the best of my knowledge: TVs accept commands from remotes as modulated infrared somehow. The basic modulation stuff is fairly consistent, but not all TVs support the same set of commands. So universal remote things can work by recording the data another remote sends when you press a particular button, saving it, and replaying it when you press a button on it.

gollark: Also, if you want to have it import text files you will probably either want serverside code or some sort of compilation step.
gollark: Are there not automated quiz creator things of some kind?
gollark: Well, yes, YAML is overcomplicated and inconsistent.
