Production

The Whale was produced by Suzanne Chisholm, with Eric Desatnik, Scarlett Johansson and Ryan Reynolds serving as executive producers. It is based on, and uses the same footage, as Chisholm's and Parfit's 2007 documentary Saving Luna, narrated by Parfit. The reworked version was rewritten to tell the story from a third-person perspective and focuses on less on the directors' personal involvement in Luna's life.[1]

Awards and nominations

gollark: Oh hey, it is still PotatOS 6.2 TuberOS.
gollark: If your disk actually *does* have full potatOS source... then when you boot it up it would just autoupdate and overwrite that copy with the pastebin installer, if I had that feature turned on.
gollark: Most potatOS install disks just have `shell.run "pastebin run rm13ugfa"`, which downloads the latest copy off pastebin.
gollark: You likely *don't* have a disk with that.
gollark: But only on this server! And you can turn it back on!
