Subsequent arrest and convictions

In 2000 co-producer Michael Woods and co-star David Amos would be arrested for the 1989 murder of Horace McKenna.[1] McKenna was a partner of Woods in two strip clubs in Los Angeles, The Bare Elegance and The New Jet Strip. After the film was made the detectives started to question associates of the two when it was realized that much of the plot of the film was based around the murder of McKenna.

During the 2001 trial Amos would give testimony against Woods in exchange for a lighter sentence.[2]

gollark: It's a shame we're so averse to nuclear stuff, or my watch could go from "battery replacement needed every 7 years" to "*nuclear* battery replacement every 100 years".
gollark: Not yet, not yet...]
gollark: It seemed like such an innocent idea - embedding small radioisotope generators in SSDs so if the power fails they can continue writing from their buffers, or run routine maintenance tasks. But little did they know that some SSDs would explode when they hit end-of-life...
gollark: Randomly exploding *nuclear-powered* SSDs.
