The Swordsman is a South Korean historical action film directed by Choi Jae-hoon. It is scheduled to be released on 17 September 2020.[1]

Plot

During the chaotic period of Ming-Qing dynasty transition, Tae-yul, the best swordsman in Joseon, wanted to live with his back to the world. However when his daughter was captured and taken away, he was forced to raise his sword again to save her.[2]

Script reading was held on June 9, 2017, principal photography began on June 15, 2017 and filming wrapped up in September 2017.[3] In Dec 2017, it was reported that there were payment issues between the production company and the staff.[4]
