The team was formed for the 2019 edition of The Basketball Tournament, or TBT for short. The roster was put together by GMs Joey Gruden and Jeremiah Bonsu. The roster included several alumni of the University of Dayton along with one outsider in Ryan Brunns.
2019
After applying and being selected as one of 64 teams in the 2019 edition of TBT, The Red Scare were seeded third in the Columbus Region, matched up against the sixth seed, The Region. They defeated the region, scoring a team record high 106 points.[1] They then defeated Mid American Unity 88-86 in the second round to advance to the Regional final. They then lost to the eventual champions Carmens Crew, an Ohio State alumni team.
