Reception

Cath Clarke of The Guardian gave the film two out of five stars. She criticized the animation (comparing it to an aircraft safety video), the character animation (calling it stiff), the dialogue (calling it awkward and done in an am-dram style), the characterization of the character Giant Diffidence, and for "virtually zero humour."[3] Joyce Slayton of Common Sense Media gave the film two out of five stars as well.[4]

Megan Basham of WORLD Magazine gave the film a more positive write-up, and praised the introduction with Kristyn Getty and some of the scenes, saying they "delight with ingenuity." She did however say some of the scenes "show budget constraints," but she said, "these gripes are surprisingly few."[5] Courtney Howard of Variety said, "While this adaptation may not win over any new converts, it does serve as a blessed reminder of faith’s rewards in a seemingly endless, punishing, and dark time."[1]

gollark: They have ~5W ultramobile ones (Core M/Core whatever-Y/who even knows at this point and the bad Celeron/Pentiums), ~15W regular-mobile ones (Core whatever-U) and ~45W high-power mobile ones (Core whatever-H/whatever-HQ).
gollark: Basically.
gollark: Tabletty things like yours.
gollark: * now
gollark: If you mean phones, they used to but don't really know.
