The Kohinoor
The Kohinoor was a Bengali language newspaper, first published in July 1898.[1]
History
The Kohinoor started publication in 1898 in Kushtia District. During its initial years publication was irregular. It stopped and resumed publication in 1904 and 1911. The newsapaper moved its headquarters from Kustia to Pangsha (then part of Faridpur District. It was edited by Mohammad Rowshan Ali Chowdhury, a resident of Pangsha. It moved from Pansha to Kolkata. It was a managed by a 35-member committee containing both Hindus and Muslims. The paper target both Hindu and Muslim clientele.[2][3][4]
