Teacher's Oath
A Teacher's Oath is an oath taken in some countries by teachers.
In 1993, the German educator Hartmut von Hentig designed the Socratic Oath, which is supposed to be a set of professional guidelines for educators, teachers and paedagogues.
Today there are many different versions of the Teacher's Oath, for example the Comenius Oath in Finland,[1] Teachers' Oath Taking in Philippines,[2] Abdul Kalam Teachers Oath in India,[3] Teachers Pledge in Singapore[4] and Betimi i Mësuesit in Kosovo.[5]
Since 1863, nearly two-thirds of US states have adopted loyalty oaths for teachers.[6] The Massachusetts Teachers' Oath was a loyalty oath required to teach in Massachusetts from 1935 to 1967.

gollark: Oh no, imagine having checks?
gollark: Well, yes, but it's not required to by any specs, and can do literally whatever.
gollark: They will, however, not panic.
gollark: They are defined as working two's-complement-ly or something, there's an RFC on it.
