Tasha Cerda

Tasha Cerda is the mayor of Gardena, California. She was elected in 2017 and will serve until 2022. She is the first female mayor of Gardena and the first Native American mayor in the state of California.[1]

Political career

Cerda was appointed to the City Council in 2009, served as Mayor Pro-Tem from 2010-2011 and was elected to the office of City Clerk in 2013.[2]

Cerda is a member of the Tohono O'odham Nation.
