Tartu Veterinary Institute
Tartu Veterinary Institute (Estonian: Tartu Veterinaariainstituut, German: Kaiserliche Veterinair-Institut zu Dorpat) was an institute which gave higher education in veterinary. It was located in Tartu, Estonia.[1] The institute was established in 1848 and therefore it was the oldest veterinary school in Imperial Russia.

Tartu Veterinary Institute (about 1900)
Insitute's first director was Peter Boje Jessen.[1]
Studying in the institute was divided into two level. Higher level allowed to become veterinary doctor. Lower level allowed to become veterinary doctor's assistant. In 1852, lower level was stopped.[1]
In 1918 the institute was integrated to Tartu University.[1]
