Taking a Cold Look
Taking a Cold Look is the sole studio album by i-Ten, a short-lived project formed of the songwriting duo Tom Kelly and Billy Steinberg, released in 1983. The album is typical of album-oriented rock and the duo worked with a number of famous rock musicians: Steve Lukather, David Paich and Steve Porcaro from Toto, Richard Page (who later formed Mr. Mister) and Mike Baird from Journey.[1]

The title track was covered by Honeymoon Suite, titled "Cold Look", for their 1988 album Racing After Midnight. However, the most-known song is the 1987 cover of "Alone" by Heart for their album Bad Animals, which topped the Billboard charts.[1] Also covered were "The Easy Way Out" by Juice Newton in 1984 and "I Don't Wanna Lose You" by REO Speedwagon in 1988 for their compilation album The Hits.[2]
The album was reissued on CD in June 2000 by Rewind Records and then in February 2009 by Rock Candy.[3][4]
