Sushoma Sarkar

Sushoma Sarkar is a Bangladeshi television and film actress who appeared in films like Sujon Sokhi (1975), Gunda (1978), Alangkar (1979) etc.

Career

Sushoma Sarkar studied in Dhaka University. She made her film debut in 1975 film Sujon Sokhi. Then she appeared in films like Alangkar, Ei Ghar Ei Sansar, Bhuban Majhi etc. She has also appeared in TV dramas like "Progga Paromita", "Bijli", "Dhonni Meye" etc. In 2016, she was cast in Indo-Bangladesh joint venture film Badsha – The Don which stars Jeet and Nusrat Faria.[1]

Apart from films and television, she has acted in a number of stage dramas as well. In 2000, she appeared on her first stage drama. Later, she acted in dramas like 'Birsa Kabya' and 'Jonme Jonmantor'. In 10 January 2018, it was confirmed that she'll return to stage dramas after 10 years with 'Nityopuran' as Draupadi, which is written by Masum Reza. The role was earlier played by seniors like Banya Mirza and Naznin Hasan Chumki.[2]
