Sunyani Technical University

The Sunyani Technical University (formally known as Sunyani Polytechnic) is a public tertiary institution in the Brong Ahafo Region of Ghana.[1]

Sunyani Polytechnic

The Sunyani Technical University was established as a Technical Institute in 1967, as a non-tertiary institution, under the Ghana Education Service. It was subsequently upgraded to a Polytechnic in 1997, following the passage of the Polytechnic Law of 1992 (P.N.D.C. Law 321), by the Government of Ghana, as a Tertiary Educational Institution to run Higher National Diploma (HND) programmes. The Polytechnics Act, 2007 (Act, 745), which was an amendment of the P. N. D. C. Law 321, subsequently mandated the Polytechnics in Ghana to run and award Higher National Diploma (HND) Certificates, Diplomas and other higher degrees, subject to the approval of the Polytechnic Councils.

Cultural museum

The chiefs have planned to establish an ultra modern cultural museum, that will preserve the history of the former Brong Ahafo Region, on the premises of the Technical University. This forms part of the region's 60th anniversary celebrations.[2]

gollark: Vague trend guess for the future: prosperity will generally tend upwards, unless it goes down really sharply due to some sudden bad event.
gollark: I can at least guess at vague trends, but that's all.
gollark: The future is hard to accurately predict.
gollark: <@!543131534685765673> I have no idea.
gollark: I mean, IIRC really small-scale integrated circuitry at least deals with crazy quantum wotsits right now.
