Suleyman Stalsky

Suleiman Stalsky (Lezgian: СтІал Сулейман, Russian: Сулейман Стальский; 1869–1937) was a Lezgin poet from Daghestan. Maxim Gorky described him as "Homer of 20th century".[1]

Legacy

Suleyman-Stalsky District, where his native village is located, was renamed in his honour on 100th anniversary of his birthday.
