Stephen Mellor (actor)

Stephen Mellor (born October 17, 1954),[1] also known as Steve Mellor, is an American actor who appeared in Sleepless in Seattle, as well as playing Ira Goldstein in a long-running series of New Zealand television and radio advertisements for the ASB Bank.

The eleven-year advertising series for ASB Bank featured Mellor who had been sent from New York to discover and report back to The Boss (played by Australian actor Bruce Venables) "what makes that bank different".[2]
