Description
Stenaelurillus hirsutus is a small hairy spider 5 mm (1⁄5 in) long with a reddish brown carapace.[3]
Distribution
It was first described in 1927 from examples found in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and was subsequently found across Central Africa and in Ghana, Ivory Coast, Senegal, and Tanzania.[2]
Synonyms
Stenaelurillus cristatus, first identified by Wanda Wesołowska and Anthony Russell-Smith in 2000, is considered a synonym for Stenaelurillus hirsutus.[2]
