Starr Companies
STARR Companies (or STARR) is the marketing name for the subsidiaries of STARR International Company, Inc. and the investment company C.V. Starr & Co., Inc.[1]

STARR was founded in 1919 by Cornelius Vander Starr in Shanghai, China. It rose to become AIG under Maurice Greenberg's leadership. Maurice Greenberg was pushed out of AIG in 2005 over an accounting scandal and decided to start a new private venture that is today's STARR Companies.[2] Maurice is the current CEO.
