Stakeholder engagement software

Stakeholder engagement software are used by organizations to analyze their stakeholders, to create communication and engagement plans, to log in information about the interractions they have with communities and to ensure compliance with regulations.

Background

The origin of stakeholder engagement can be traced back to the 1930s.[1] But it's only in 1963 that the Stanford Research Institute defined the concept of stakeholder.[1]

In 1984, Edward Freeman’s book Strategic Management: A Stakeholder Approach was published. It brought to existence a complete body of knowledge surrounding the ethical management of stakeholders.[2]

Soon thereafter, computers were used to facilitate the organizations' engagement with communities and stakeholder analysis.

gollark: Not really.
gollark: I mean, programs are written in Java, C(++), Rust, Python, whatever else, some of them run in browsers with their own totally different system, and none of them are particularly binary-compatible.
gollark: What, so then you introduce piles of overhead communicating between them?
gollark: Plus, how do you deal with the myriad of different frameworks each one uses?
