This stadium will accommodate up to 50,766 spectators. It was named in honor of their deceased 1960s president, Abdelkader Khalef, who devoted his life to Kabylie. A consortium composed of the group Spanish Fomento de Construcciones y Contratas and Algerian group ETRHB Haddad was allocated for the construction of the stadium. In October 2014, the Spanish group has been replaced by MAPA Insaat ve ticaret, a Turkish construction group. Kabylie had the construction of promise this stage from the Algerian President Abdelaziz Bouteflika, right after the third CAF Cup that they have won. Work officially started May 15, 2010. [2]
