History

The church is 13th century. The Drake family home was at Prattshayes, Maer Lane, and they paid for the North Aisle, known as Drakes Aisle, to be added in the 16th century. The church was heavily restored between 1883 and 1884 by Robert Medley Fulford.

Frances Nelson, wife of Lord Nelson, is buried in the churchyard.[2]

The church is united in a single parish with Holy Trinity Church, Exmouth.

Organ

The organ is by Norman and Beard. A specification of the organ can be found on the National Pipe Organ Register.[3]

gollark: Lack of good response interpreted as "wow, you're right, ABR is excellent and I withdraw all objections to making it the new admin in place of esobot".
gollark: And why is discriminating against certain humans bad? What if someone is evil on a Discord server? Obviously they should be banned from it possibly.
gollark: No, LyricLy is just wrong about my bot.
gollark: > only sentient beings can be discriminated againstWhy?> they can't think because they don't have mindsWhy do they not have minds and why is that required for thought?
gollark: Why can't they think, and why does that mean they can't be discriminated against?
