St Columb's Hall, Wangaratta
St Columb's Hall, Wangaratta'[1] was opened in 1903 to train clergy to serve the Anglican Church in Australia. It closed in 1969.[2]
Opened by Thomas Henry Armstrong, the first Bishop of Wangaratta, St Columb's Hall functioned as a Bishop’s College. Some 106 students graduated from the Hall, ordained not only for the benefit of the Diocese of Wangaratta but also for the dioceses of Ballarat, Bendigo, Melbourne, Polynesia, Riverina and the former Diocese of Carpentaria. The closure in 1969 was brought about by the move towards more university based undergraduate education for young clergy.[3]

gollark: University: on the one hand you apparently earn a significant amount per year more, yes. But on the other hand, universities involve significant hassle, you're not in the workforce for a while, they may not actually be very effective at teaching massively useful stuff, they're wildly overpriced, and they seem to partly be wasteful "positional goods".
gollark: Is this a bot imitating andrew badly?
gollark: Oh, that was actually relevant and sensible.

gollark: I mean, I'd say, it doesn't affect the actual game itself directly but should affect your decision to buy it somewhat.
