Athletics

Football
The football program has been a member of LOSSA since 1999. The current head coach of the senior program and offensive coordinator is Enzo Antonucci. The Assistant head coach and defensive coordinator is Chris MacIsaac.
Senior Program: The senior Football Monarchs are the only team in LOSSA history to win five consecutive LOSSA championships at the senior level (1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, and 2003). In 2013, the senior program went undefeated (9-0), beating Holy Trinity Catholic Secondary School of Courtice, Ontario in the LOSSA championship and defeating Westgate Collegiate of Thunder Bay, Ontario (20-13) to win the OFSAA Bowl.
Junior Program: The junior football program brought home a LOSSA championship in 2007, a year after its revival in 2006. The junior Monarchs defeated Pickering High School 28-6 in the LOSSA finals. The Monarchs advanced to the junior Metro Bowl finals defeating Crestwood Secondary School of Peterborough, Ontario 44-7 and St. Michael's College 20-8. St. Mary's would lose in the championship game to Notre Dame Secondary School of Burlington, Ontario 34-7.
The Varsity program (formed in 2012 due to lack of players in both the senior and junior programs) captured a Tier II championship in 2012.
Controversy
Non-Uniform Day Enforcement
On March 22, 2012, approximately 200 to 300 students were sent home due to wearing either shorts, khakis, capris and/or ankle socks, sparking outrage amongst students and parents. The staff at St. Mary claims the rule was in the student agenda, reminded the students about the rule the day before, and dismissed allegations of student suspensions.[2][3][4]
