Publications and Media

North Point ranked 2nd [1]among boarding schools in West Bengal and 10th in India according to the Education-World[2]

School System

The school is divided into four divisions: Primary Division Classes 3 to 5, Lower Division Classes 6 to 8, Upper Division Classes 9 and 10, Senior Division Classes 11 and 12.

The Primary and Lower divisions have 4 house captains each while the Upper and Senior divisions have monitors to assist the teachers . These student appointments are made every year based on leadership abilities.

Unsupervised Examinations

In 2006, the school, under the initiative of Fr. Kinley(then Rector), successfully conducted the Class XII Board examinations uninvigilated.This was the first of many batches that would take up the challenge over the years. It was, according to the school, a test of honesty.[3]

Notable alumni

gollark: Well, I intend for it to work differently, so obviously glibc or something is wrong. Maybe I can muck with the program counter somehow.
gollark: * syscalls and whatever
gollark: So I should work out some way to live-patch the kernel to increase the amount of signal-safe functions?
gollark: ```c#include <stdio.h>#include <signal.h>#include <string.h>#include <stdlib.h>#include <sys/mman.h>#include <unistd.h>static void handler(int sig, siginfo_t *info, void *literally_bee) { printf("oh bee oh apio segfault %08x\n", info->si_addr); int ps = getpagesize(); long ad = (long)info->si_addr; ad = ad - (ad % ps); mmap((void*)ad, 0x10000, PROT_NONE, MAP_ANONYMOUS|MAP_FIXED, -1, 0);}int main() { struct sigaction sa; sigemptyset(&sa.sa_mask); sa.sa_flags = SA_NODEFER; sa.sa_sigaction = handler; sigaction(SIGSEGV, &sa, NULL); *(int*)NULL = -3; printf("thing done\n"); return 0;}```
gollark: Unfortunately, mmap appears to be uncooperative.
