For two years, Augustine thought Grammar before leaving to Carthage.[1] He continued teaching in Carthage for nine more years. After this, Augustine traveled again to Rome, where he was a professor for ten years but left due to his opinion regarding Roman culture. From there he proceeded to go to Milan, after he won a job at the Imperial court as a rhetoric professor.[2] This is also where he married.
