In eight years from 2004 to 2011, the production house had introduced 8 new directors to the Telugu film industry, namely: Sukumar (2004), Boyapati Srinu (2005), Bhaskar (2006), Vamsi Paidipally (2007), Srikanth Addala (2008), Vasu Varma (2009), Ravi Yadav (2010), and Venu Sri Ram (2011). Some of them have become very successful and most of them collaborated with the banner for the second time as well.

Initial years and distribution Company

Raju and his brothers started film distribution in the early 90s and partnered with Venkata Lakshmi Films. In 1996, they opened a new office with the name Sri Harshita Films.[1] Most of the films that they distributed were unsuccessful at the box-office and they incurred heavy losses leading them to shut the company.[1] After few more years studying the market, they started Sri Venkateswara Film Distributors in 1999.[2] They chose to distribute films in the Nizam area of Telangana. The first three films distributed were Oke Okkadu, Nuvvu Vastavani and Sakhi. They went on to distribute many more movies including Kushi, Murari and Nuvvu Naaku Nachav.[2]

Production company and success

After distributing films for four years, Raju established Sri Venkateswara Creations in 2003. The first movie that was made under the banner was Dil, directed by V. V. Vinayak.[1] In 2004, they made Arya under the direction of Sukumar. In 2005, they made another successful film Bhadra, under the direction of Boyapati Srinu.[2] They continued distributing films including Nuvvu Naaku Nachav, Murari, Khushi, Aadi, Athadu, Chatrapati and Pokiri.[2] In 2006, they produced Bommarillu under the direction of Bhaskar.[2]

By the end of the year 2018, 40 films associated with the banner were released: out of which 30 films were produced by them, 6 were dubbed films, and 4 were collaborations. In an interview with Anil Ravipudi for Greatandhra website, Dil Raju claimed that 22 of his 30 films (2003-2018) were either hits, super-hits, or classics; 4 were average grossers; and 4 films were flops.[6]

The year 2019 started off with a bang for the banner with F2 - Fun and Frustration turning out be a massive hit. It was released on the occasion of Sankranthi and amid stiff competition with three other biggies N.T.R: Kathanayakudu, Vinaya Vidheya Rama, and Petta. However, F2 - Fun & Frustration became the highest grosser of not only among the four Sankranthi films, but also for the banner and is one of the highest grossers of all time in Telugu film industry.,,[7][8][9]
