Southwest Trafficway

Southwest Trafficway is a major north/south road that runs in Kansas City, Missouri from 27th Street & I-35 to 43rd Street at Madison Avenue and Belleview Avenue.

Southwest Trafficway connects Downtown Kansas City to Westport and Country Club Plaza. Left turns are prohibited at nearly every intersection by discouraging local traffic while reducing delays due to vehicles waiting to turn left.

History

There was once a pedestrian tunnel under Southwest Trafficway at 40th Terrace, but it was removed as a blighted "dark alley" as part of the construction of the current intersection. In 1998, a team from UMKC analyzed the entirety of Southwest Trafficway and forwarded several proposals which would facilitate pedestrian traffic where the trafficway currently disrupts Westport, including moving the trafficway underground and planting a park at the surface.[1]

It’s a cute baby dragon. Its markings give off an otherworldly light.Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.(Please note that it is against the site rules to give aid to a user without their permission.)```
gollark: No, I mean, the text I regex-filter doesn't actually contain HTML tags.
gollark: The HTML tags are stripped out already, so those can be dropped.
gollark: Is this actually likely to be better than my new approach of just parsing hour/days separately?
gollark: Okay, looks like days but no hours is fine.
