This species can be found in the Northern Atlantic and off the coasts of West Africa. In the past, during the Late Pliocene, it had a wider distribution and occurred as well in the Mediterranean as off the coast of present Spain and Portugal.[2]

The alternatives people have seem to generally involve either centrally planning stuff, which is maybe computationally hard and has bad incentives, having some communal system and hoping people get along, which doesn't scale, or voting on things, which has the central planning issues plus exciting new ones.
