Sirma Voyevoda

Sirma Voyevoda (1776–1864), was a Bulgarian rebel soldier. Disguised as a man, she participated in the Macedonian guerilla movement in resistance to the Ottoman Empire in Bulgaria between 1791 and 1813.

Voyevoda was recognized as a patriotic heroine.[1]
