Silverio Ortiz

Silverio José Ortiz Ley (born December 18, 1982 in Chicxulub, Yucatán, Mexico) is a Mexican boxer in the Welterweight division. Silverio is the current IBA Light Welterweight Champion.[1]

Pro career

In April 2005, Silverio beat an undefeated Ricardo Dominguez, at the Dodge Arena in Hidalgo, Texas.[2]

IBA Light Welterweight Championship

On May 1, 2010 Ortiz beat title contender Fernando Angulo to win the IBA Light Welterweight Championship.[3]
