Siddharth Singh (civil servant)

Siddharth Singh is an Indian civil servant, who is an Indian Administrative Service officer of 2005 batch, of the Assam Meghalaya Cadre, who is currently serving as the Secretary to the Government of Assam, Public Health Engineering Department.[1][2] He is the mission director of Swachh Bharat Mission (Gramin)[3] in Assam, a campaign was launched by the Modi government[4][5][6] and director of Neer Nirmal Pariyojana, a project by the World Bank, Ministry of Drinking Water and Sanitation, Government of India and Government of Assam.[1]

On April 27, 2020, Singh was appointed as the Principal Secretary of the Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) on behalf of the Governor of Assam.[7][8]

Singh has previously served as the project director of the Assam Urban Infrastructure Investment Program (AUIIP) and MD of the Guwahati Metropolitan Drinking Water & Sewerage Board.[1]

Awards and recognition

  • Singh was honored with the SKOCH Award for the 'Swacchta Hi Seva campaign' for Assam in 2019.[2][9]
  • He was awarded the Chief Minister's Award for Excellence in Public Administration by the Government of Assam in 2017.[10]
