Shohruh

Shokhrukh Shodmonov, better known by his stage name Shoxrux, is a rapper, entertainer, and producer in Uzbekistan. He came to fame in 2004 with his song "Xayr bevafo" ("Farewell Unfaithful").

Early life

Shohruh was born on January 31, 1986 in Tashkent, Uzbekistan in family of O'ktam Shodmonov and Shohida Shodmonova. He has two brothers, Farrukh and Khurshid. After graduating from school, he was admitted to Toshkent Davlat Iqtisodiyot Universiteti (Tashkent State University of Economics). He first showed singing talent at the age of five.

Career Path

Shohruh's first solo performance was at Tarona Show 2004, an annual music awards ceremony in Tashkent. He was nominated as "New Generation in Music Of Year" and won. His song "Hayot" was well received. After the ceremony, he developed his career and published his second song, "Hayr Bevafo". A video was also made, and aired on Canal 30, a Tashkent-based entertainment channel.

His first album, Balandda, was released in 2005 by Tarona Records. The album became popular among young listeners and was commercially successful. The album's first single, "Balandda" ("Up High"), topped the charts on Uzbek radio channels. The album's second single, "Hayolimdasan", was another success for him and was accompanied by a chart-topping video on Uzbek television. His third single, "Baxtli Bo'l" ("Be happy"), a spoken word track, was praised by Uzbek nation as a new music direction for the music industry in Uzbekistan.

Later career

After his early success, Shohruh continued to release new songs and perform on stage. His collaborations with other singers have also been successful, such as his collaboration song with pop star Shahzoda, "Qayt", which was popular with fans and topped the charts. His second album, Bolaligim, was released in 2006. The album was once again commercially and critically acclaimed. Its first single, "Bolaligim" ("My youth"), was a hit in Uzbekistan due to its video, which featured orphans. Bolaligim also featured a duet, "Salom", with his cousin Sarvar, a young rapper. The song was popular in Uzbekistan and topped the charts. The album contains Shohruh's first Russian hit song, "Etaji" ("Stairs").

In 2007, Shohruh took a break from the music industry, with upsetting his many fans, but he later returned and continued his career. His latest hits include "Xato", "Layli va Majnun", Ket and "Ayriliq".

Shoxrux produced a new album by the title name "Abadiya" in 2014.

The new album includes songs which he introduced from 2011 until today.

In 2012 he produced a new song by the title "Behayot".
