Shin'ya Shokudō
Shin'ya Shokudō (深夜食堂), known in English as Midnight Diner, is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Yarō Abe. It is about a late-night diner, open from midnight to dawn, and its eccentric patrons. It won the 55th Shogakukan Manga Award for general manga[2] and was nominated for the 2nd Manga Taishō.[3]

It was adapted into a 10-episode live-action television drama in 2009, followed by a second season in 2011 and a third season in 2014. In 2015, a live action film was released by director Joji Matsuoka starring Kaoru Kobayashi as The Master. In 2016, a second feature-length film was released. Netflix Japan produced two additional seasons of 10 episodes each, in 2016 and 2019.
The series was also adapted into a Korean television series titled Late Night Restaurant in 2015[4] and a Chinese television series Midnight Diner in 2017.[5]
