Design

The ATV has a steel and aluminium carrier body that is buoyant and can stay afloat even without the wheels.

It has large tires (63"x25"), spanning the length of the whole vehicle[6] and an onboard system to inflate or deflate them.[7] The grooves on the tires double as paddles, when in water.

The Sherp's wheels are not articulated, and it contains no springs or joints, relying instead on differential steering and suspension from the tires.[4]

The control unit is equipped with two pedals and two levers, as well as a set of control devices. In addition to snow, mud, and marshes, the cross-country vehicle overcomes vertical obstacles up to 3.25 ft in height. The Sherp's maximum speed is over 40 km/h on land and 6 km/h on water, and it can tow up to 2500 lbs.[4]
