Shammu Ashan
Shammu Ashan (born 9 January 1998) is a Sri Lankan cricketer.[1] He made his List A debut for Sri Lanka A against West Indies A on 27 October 2016.[2] Prior to his List A debut he was part of Sri Lanka's squad for the 2016 Under-19 Cricket World Cup.[3]

He made his first-class debut for Sinhalese Sports Club in the 2016–17 Premier League Tournament on 28 December 2016.[4] He made his Twenty20 debut for Sinhalese Sports Club in the 2017–18 SLC Twenty20 Tournament on 24 February 2018.[5]
In March 2018, he was named in Galle's squad for the 2017–18 Super Four Provincial Tournament.[6][7] The following month, he was also named in Galle's squad for the 2018 Super Provincial One Day Tournament.[8] In August 2018, he was named in Colombo's squad the 2018 SLC T20 League.[9] In the same month, Sri Lanka Cricket named him in a preliminary squad of 31 players for the 2018 Asia Cup.[10]
In December 2018, he was named in Sri Lanka team for the 2018 ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup.[11] In March 2019, he was named in Galle's squad for the 2019 Super Provincial One Day Tournament.[12] In November 2019, he was named in Sri Lanka's squad for the 2019 ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup in Bangladesh.[13] Later the same month, he was named in Sri Lanka's squad for the men's cricket tournament at the 2019 South Asian Games.[14] The Sri Lanka team won the silver medal, after they lost to Bangladesh by seven wickets in the final.[15]
