Controversies
In 2018 the journal was the target of a scholarly publishing sting, in which a hoax paper titled "Going in Through the Back Door: Challenging Straight Male Homohysteria and Transphobia through Receptive Penetrative Sex Toy Use" was reviewed and accepted. The paper proposed that men could reduce their transphobia by anally penetrating themselves with sex toys.[6][7]
