Sextus Catius Clementinus Priscillianus

Sextus Catius Clementinus Priscillianus (fl. 3rd century AD) was a Roman military officer and senator who was appointed consul in AD 230.

Biography

Catius Clementinus was a member of the third century gens Catia, and it has been speculated that he may have been the son of either Publius Catius Sabinus (consul in AD 216), or a [Catius? Lepi]dus I[—], a suffect consul sometime during the early third century.[1]

Catius Clementinus’ early career is unknown, but in AD 230, he was made consul ordinarius alongside Lucius Virius Agricola. In the following year (AD 231), he was appointed Legatus Augusti pro praetore (or imperial governor) of Germania Superior.

Catius Clementinus may have been the brother of Gaius Catius Clemens, suffect consul c. AD 235 and Lucius Catius Celer, suffect consul c. AD 241.

gollark: Really, one of the main things which makes (some) SCPs weird is that they take convenient abstractions/concepts and turn them into immutable physical laws, while our real universe just runs on... well, physics. 173 is affected by line of sight, even though this is just a thing humans do to reason about... looking at things. 005 is just a magic item which unlocks things, 048 is just a label we assign to things which somehow affects them.
gollark: Alternatively, the machine breaks, if it prefers simple changes - so I guess make it STUPIDLY redundant.
gollark: * didn't happen
gollark: Idea: what if you make a machine which will automatically open the box if an XK-class scenario occurs/is imminent?]
gollark: Probability fuses or something.
