Selina Chilton
Selina Chilton (born 19 September 1981) is an English actress who has appeared in theatre and television productions. Chilton is best known for her role as Ruth Pearce in the BBC soap opera Doctors, in which she appeared from April 2008 to 17 December 2010.

Personal life
Chilton was born in Leicester to Michael and Karen Chilton and, as a child, trained to be a dancer. At sixteen, she embarked on an Arts Educational Schools course studying acting, singing and dancing. She began her professional career at age nineteen.[1]
Career
She has had several stage roles, most notably playing the lead in Moira Buffini's adaption of Marianne Dreams at the Almeida Theatre.[2] Chilton left Doctors in 2010.[3]
In The British Soap Awards 2009 Chilton was nominated as Best Newcomer, but did not win, for her role as Ruth Pearce.[4]
She was also nominated as Best Newcomer for this role at the National Television Awards 2010, but came fifth, eight votes behind the Hollyoaks actress Bronagh Waugh.
