Seet pur
Seetpur is a very old city in Muzaffargarh District of south Punjab, In this city there is the famous tomb of King Tahir Khan Nahar. Its architecture resembles that of the Multan Tombs, but it is smaller in size compared to them. Other famous thing is the Government High School of Seetpur. It was established by the British during the Raj. Agriculture is the mainstay of the area's economy.
There is also a famous mosque named Shahi masjid seet pur that was built in the 1880s and renewed in the 1900s.
There are many schools in this city. New generations are well educated. Mostly students are studying in different countries. Nawaz Family, Qazi family, Khawaja family and Ghoury family are famous as Teachers families. Agha Muhammad Nawaz khan,Qazi Abdulsatar, Muhammad Arshad khan, Qazi Muhammad Akhtar, khawaja Munawar Hussain, Khawaja Hassan Bukhsh (1923-2000), Khawaja Qurban Hussain, Khawaja Sajjad Hussain Rana Muhammad Jameel,Qazi Sajjad Hussain, Ali Nawaz khan, Niaz Ahmad ghouri, Muhammad Aslam ghouri and his father Nazeer Ahmad Ghauri were most famous teachers. Qasim nawaz khan is also famous for academic development work and research work.
There are many famous politicians like Makhdom Altaf Hussain Bukhari, Makhdom Muhammad Raza bukhari and Syed Qaim Ali shamsi.
There are many poets. Agha Muhammad nawaz khan was very famous poet in 1930. Ghulam Safdar,Intizar mehdi intizar blouch ,Saifal khan, Ghulam Baqir mastana and Ghufran yasir are famous poet of this city.
Other successful people include Mr. Ch Muhammad Shamim who is a civil engineer from UET Lahore, and served as MD Wasa Multan and DG MDA.
