Biography

Sedale Threatt Jr. is the son of Sedale Threatt. He is also the half brother to the similarly named former basketball player Sedale Threatt Jr.; a fact that he was unaware of until he tried calling his grandmother through the ex-wife of his uncle. He played football at Lehigh University before deciding to major in marketing. This changed when he decided to attend USC School of Dramatic Arts to become an actor instead.[2] He proceeded to star in the 2016 remake of Roots as Tom, the grandson of Kunta Kinte. He added, "I'm just so fortunate, so appreciative really, being in 'Roots,' being in something that's as historical as this is."[3]

He joined the series Siren as Levi, starting in season two in a recurring role.[4] He made a guest appearance on the long running Marvel Cinematic Universe series Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. as John Mackenzie.
